Alton Towers to recruit lookalike business legends
by James Agate
A recent poll by the Alton Towers Resort revealed that a staggering 90% of people think Apprentice star Lord Alan Sugar is the most inspirational business figure in the UK, distantly followed by entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson and Acadia Group founder Sir Philip Green (with 5% of the votes each). Inspired by the results, the Alton Towers Resort has created a unique ‘celebrity lookalike’ conference that will take place in February.
Offering companies the chance to enjoy a corporate gathering ‘with a difference,’ the celebrity lookalike package is guaranteed to provide some extra motivation and entertainment to all conference centre visitors this February. From hosting brainstorms to recording the minutes of meetings, each business guru lookalike will be on hand for the entire duration of each conference booked at the Alton Towers Resort.
Dominique Sidley, Head of Trade and Corporate Sales at the Alton Towers Resort said, “With the popularity of shows such as The Apprentice and Dragon’s Den, we understand how important and motivating influential business figures can be. Whilst we can’t provide the gurus themselves we’ve tried to find the next best thing by working with a host of their lookalikes. However, if inspiration from a business brain isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, we’re also happy to source a range of lookalikes from the world of showbusiness to add that ‘je ne sais quoi’ to your conference.”
Here at WeLoveBusiness.co.uk, we think that events like this might seem a little ‘naff’ at first glance but actually prove to be extremely wortwhile with people enjoying themselves, bonding and really engaging with the session. There isn’t a human being alive that doesn’t like to laugh and it can often be the best way of getting individuals to interact.
The Alton Towers Resort was awarded the Best Unusual Venue Award by Meetings and Incentive Travel 2009.
